The next day we visited the charity hospital that we support: Cornwall Regional.  It serves the western-third of Jamaica.

Presentation of the boxes at Cornwall Hospital to the CEO Tuesday morning.  This is the photo that appeared in the local paper about our delivery.

We delivered some of the toys and dental supplies (which were donated by CFB Rotarians Dr. Mike Jones and Dr. Paul Lonquist) to the PT Department since they see a lot of children.  Later, the Montego Bay Rotarians will deliver the remainder of the 8 boxes to the two disabled children's homes which are outside the city.  Unfortunately, there was just not enough time on this short 46-hour trip to see everyone.

Here is a young physical therapy patient at the hospital that we gave a frog pillow pet to -- he really loved it!  We believe he has cerebral palsy; we do know he is on the Rotary list to receive a wheelchair in May when the next container arrives.  ($900 from our local Rotary Club's Valentine's Day Fundraiser this year, and $1,500 from our donation last year will be used to help pay the 2013 delivery costs of $250,000 in wheelchairs donated by ROC, which is a non-profit from Montana that works with the Montego Bay Rotary Club.)

With our supplies delivered to Cornwall, Regina attended the Tuesday lunch meeting of the Montego Bay Rotary Club.  She presented a program on the vibrant partnership between the two Clubs from 2003-2013.  They surprised her with a Paul Harris award.  What an honor!  By the way, their Club is small, but MIGHTY!  It is amazing how many projects they complete each year serving the island in the name of Rotary International.

The next day it was back to Texas for school and work.  Even from the air, the island is beautiful.  We look forward to returning next year with the help of Baylor and Southwest.

In late April, Baylor Health Care System's Faith in Action Initiatives Director Donald Sewell and Baylor Carrollton's President Michael Sanborn visited our Club so we could express our appreciation.

The three Southwest employees who helped us with the mission trip honored our Club with a visit on May 23, 2013 so we could thank them also.  Julie Bosotn McGrath of Southwest, International Service Director 2012-2013 Steven Patrick, Scott Schooling of Southwest, Sharon Rankin of Southwest and Past-President Regina Edwards are pictured above.
