Several of us met this past Tuesday at the Farmers Branch Rotary Playground also know as Gussie Field Waterworth Park. About 8 years ago we partnered with the City of Farmers Branch, raised in excess of $175,000 and built an all accessible playground.
This past Tuesday we again partnered with the city and donated $40,000 towards the purchase of a new feature called We-Go-Round. This is a all accessible merry go round. The installation was completed a few weeks ago and on Tuesday we did a formal dedication with some of our club members and also the Mayor, city council members, and the staff that help make it happen.
The Rotary Club of Carrollton-Farmers Branch continues to focus on providing for the youth of our community through donations to local charitable organizations and adding this fun playground feature. Thanks to the City of Farmers Branch and their staff of making it happen.
